Guided Fly Fishing Outings in Spokane with Marc

I offer 1:1 (or 1:2) guided experiences here in Spokane focused on learning about local waters through fly fishing.

My guided outings are an exploration of the Spokane River through fly fishing. While we fish, we'll pay attention to what's happening in and around the water — water quality, aquatic habitat, the built infrastructure that shapes the river, and how those things connect. I also focus on practical fishing skills: casting, reading water, and different fly fishing techniques you can continue using on your own.
The goal is to come away from the water with a slightly different way of relating to the Spokane River and the city it is a part of.

For those looking for a more traditional guided trip, I recommend checking out Teeming Streams and Silverbow Fly Shop

You don't need to be an experienced angler. All that's needed is to be a bit open-minded about what fishing is.

If you are interested in doing any of the outings listed below, use this contact form to get in touch with me. When it comes to scheduling an outing, I prefer talking with people over the phone or in-person in order to tailor the outing to better match experience levels and expectations.

If, on the other hand, you are wanting to fish the Spokane River DIY, please check out my free online guide to fishing the Spokane River. In that online guide you will find recommended fly patterns and lures, info on fishing regulations, spots to explore, and details about the fish living in the Spokane River. On the blog there are also additional free instructional articles for those wanting to expand their fishing skills. Throughout the year I also host free fishing lessons in Spokane, so be sure to follow me on Instagram to know when those events occur. And lastly, be sure to check out my book, The Guide to Urban Fly Fishing which is all about how to fly fish any city, any water, for any species of fish.
