Fishing is more than a way to catch fish. It is a way of paying attention — to water, to what lives in it, and to what shapes it. Wherever there is water there is something happening, something worth understanding. A fishing rod doesn't just help you find and catch fish, it pulls you into a different relationship with the places you fish, whether those waters are a block away or beyond.
